I Didn’t Lose My Joy. I Stopped Practicing It.

When anxiety starts taking up more and more space in our lives, our first thought is usually, I just want some peace.

But Philippians 4 starts somewhere unexpected: “Rejoice in the Lord always.”

In this message from Light in the Darkness, we look at what it means to intentionally practice joy instead of simply waiting to feel joyful.

Through prayer, gratitude, focusing our minds on what is good, spending meaningful time with people, and intentionally rejoicing in the Lord, Scripture gives us practical ways to redirect our attention when anxiety and worry begin taking over.

Maybe you didn't lose your joy.

Maybe it's time to start practicing it again.
